Pharmacist in Nashville, TN

Join a specialized renal and mail order pharmacy supporting approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This contract role offers pharmacists the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment without the demands of on-call duties, providing critical verification services to ensure patient safety and medication accuracy.

Location: Near Nashville, TN (Lavergne area)

Schedule:

• 2 positions available for the 11:30 am – 8:00 pm shift
• 1 position available for the 1:30 pm – 10:30 pm shift
• 40 hours per week

Contract Details:

• 13+ week assignment with potential for contract-to-hire
• Immediate start available

Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties
• Conduct final verification of medications including checking the correct drug, strength, and directions
• Verify prescription documentation against hard copy for accuracy and completeness
• Utilize Wellsky order entry system and adhere to regulatory standards
• Collaborate with team members to maintain high-quality dispensing practices

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid pharmacist license
• Experience with prescription verification and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with mail order or specialty pharmacy operations preferred
• Ability to use electronic pharmacy systems; experience with Wellsky is a plus
