Staff Pharmacist - New Berlin, Wisconsin

A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated pharmacy professional to provide quality pharmaceutical care in a dynamic environment. This 9-week contract position begins on 8/17, offering a 2nd shift schedule from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM with rotating weekends, allowing for a focused work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and detect over-usage patterns.
• Ensure the legality of medicine supplies and suitability of prescribed medications.
• Maintain confidential and precise patient records and pharmacy files.
• Advise patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and answer queries.
• Provide consultations on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including storage and drug interactions.
• Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical inventory responsibly.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners to address drug-related patient issues.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• WI pharmacist license in-hand is required.
• Retail pharmacists welcome; training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
