A retail-specialty pharmacy in Waterbury, CT is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage during a short-term assignment from May 31 to June 10. This opportunity features a manageable workflow focused on respiratory medications in a low-volume setting, ideal for pharmacists who thrive in independent roles. A structured training period from May 26 to May 29 is provided if QS1 system experience is not yet attained.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify approximately 12 prescriptions daily
• Operate independently without technician support
• Provide patient counseling with a focus on excellent customer service
• Manage workflow efficiently in a retail-specialty pharmacy environment
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Connecticut Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy system preferred; training available if needed
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities without technician assistance
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care quality

Schedule/Hours:

• Shift Options: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• PRN schedule covering vacation period
• Training required from May 26 – May 29 for those without QS1 experience
