Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | New Britain, Connecticut

A PRN Pharmacist opportunity is available for a retail-specialty setting in Waterbury, Connecticut, providing essential vacation coverage. This assignment offers a structured training period and a focused workflow in a low-volume pharmacy specializing in respiratory medications.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify approximately 12 prescriptions per day
• Operate independently without technician support
• Provide patient counseling and ensure exceptional customer service
• Manage daily workflow efficiently in a retail-specialty pharmacy environment
• Maintain compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations

Schedule:

• Assignment Dates: May 31 – June 10
• Training Period: May 26 – May 29 (required if QS1 experience is not current)
• Shift Options: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• PRN schedule designed for vacation coverage

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with QS1 pharmacy system is preferred; training will be provided if needed
• Ability to work independently without technician support
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
