A direct hire opportunity is available for a skilled Staff Pharmacist to support a long-term care and intellectual developmental disorder pharmacy environment. This role requires a licensed pharmacist to efficiently manage prescription verification with opportunities for expanded responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Primarily performing Prescription Verification Level 2 (PV2) duties with accuracy and attention to detail
- Training toward Prescription Verification Level 1 (PV1) tasks based on aptitude and performance
- Collaborating within the pharmacy team to meet daily volume demands
- Utilizing the Frameworks system for daily workflow and documentation
- Providing occasional Saturday coverage as needed
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current and valid Connecticut pharmacist license in hand
- Previous experience in long-term care preferred; retail pharmacists with high-volume experience are encouraged to apply
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to shift between early and standard daytime hours
- Willingness to learn and advance pharmacy verification skills
Schedule:
- Flexible shifts between 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Some Saturday availability may be required
