Contract Details:
- Contract duration of 13 weeks with potential for contract-to-hire
- Start date is ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Dispense and manage rare and orphan drug therapies with precision and clinical accuracy
- Facilitate high-touch communication with patients and providers to ensure appropriate drug use and navigate approval processes
- Assist patients and providers with support programs including grants, rebates, and payment options to manage treatment costs
- Utilize the McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system for specialty pharmacy operations
- Work collaboratively within a specialty pharmacy environment to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Arizona pharmacy license in good standing
- Proven experience in a designated specialty pharmacy (retail or mail order); retail pharmacists without specialty pharmacy experience will not be considered
- Expertise in handling rare and orphan diseases, demonstrating ability in navigating complex clinical and financial pathways
- Strong clinical knowledge combined with exceptional communication skills to maintain high-quality patient/provider interactions
