Staff Pharmacist | New York, New York

A retail pharmacy in Bronx, NY, is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join their team on a 13-week contract-to-hire basis. This opportunity requires immediate availability to support a busy location with a daily volume of approximately 200 prescriptions. The pharmacy operates with a small, close-knit staff comprised of three pharmacy technicians, one delivery person, and a store manager, providing a supportive environment for collaboration and professional growth.

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
• 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
• 4x10 schedule with no weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately checking and verifying prescriptions to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulations
• Collaborating closely with pharmacy technicians and management to maintain efficient workflow
• Utilizing the BestRx system for prescription processing (training provided for those new to the system)
• Upholding all pharmacy laws and regulations, particularly in a retail setting
• Commitment to providing excellent patient service with attention to detail

Qualifications:

• Active and clear New York State pharmacist license
• Residence local to the Bronx or nearby areas preferred for ease of commute
• Recent graduates welcome to apply
• Previous retail pharmacy experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Familiarity with BestRx system is advantageous; however, on-site training will be provided
