A full-time Pharmacist role is available within a dynamic medical system serving multiple pharmacy locations in Ventura County. This position offers the opportunity to work across three distinct pharmacies: a medical center, a hospital, and an infusion center, providing a diverse and engaging work environment. Shifts will vary and include 8- and 10-hour schedules, with the need for flexibility to cover swing shifts, every other weekend, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pharmaceutical care and services across three pharmacy locations within the healthcare system.
  • Float between the medical center, hospital, and infusion center pharmacies to meet staffing needs.
  • Dispense medications accurately and counsel patients as required.
  • Manage and prepare hazardous medications, including chemotherapy compounding, following strict safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication use.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Utilize pharmacy software systems; training on Cerner is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with relevant state credentials.
  • Experience with Cerner pharmacy systems is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to safely handle and compound hazardous medications, including chemotherapy agents.
  • Willingness and ability to travel between multiple pharmacy sites within the region.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Local candidates preferred due to the nature of multi-site responsibilities.

Schedule:

  • Full-time position with variable shifts.
  • 8- and 10-hour shifts depending on location.
  • Availability for swing shifts, weekends (every other), and holidays.
