Mail Order Staff Pharmacist in Newport, KY

An exciting direct hire opportunity is available for pharmacists experienced in mail order and digital pharmacy operations. This role involves working with a fast-growing mail order pharmacy specializing in dispensing primarily generic medications, along with some brand and specialty products, serving all 50 states plus DC. The pharmacy processed over 200,000 prescriptions in September 2025 and is expanding its accounts for 2026.

Location:

• Newport, KY

Schedule/Hours:

• Weekend shifts: Saturday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; Sunday 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Occasional weekday shifts: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (as needed)

Responsibilities:

• Perform full cycle dispensing and fulfillment of prescriptions within a high-volume mail order setting
• Verify and check prescriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency and quality
• Collaborate closely with the team to adapt quickly to workflow demands and volume fluctuations

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Kentucky (candidates licensed in Cincinnati, OH are encouraged to verify KY licensure eligibility)
• Experience in high-volume retail pharmacy is highly preferred
• Strong adaptability to fast-paced workflow and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
