A Per Diem pharmacist opportunity is available to provide coverage in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) and 340B pharmacy setting. This role involves working closely with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective medication management in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Schedule:
- June 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19
- Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (lunch 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (lunch 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
- No holidays or weekend shifts required
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense prescription drugs and medication orders accurately for patient pickup or delivery
- Oversee ordering of pharmacy equipment and supplies to maintain sufficient inventory
- Control inventory management, including maintaining approved drug lists and verifying expiration dates
- Apply best practices in storage and handling of prescription drugs and controlled substances
- Verify prescription details with healthcare providers as needed
- Monitor pharmacy appearance, product displays, and shelves to ensure a professional environment
- Address customer requests and resolve complaints promptly and courteously
- Maintain accurate records relating to inventory, patient information, and insurance claims
- Support telepharmacy services to extend pharmacy reach
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager on staff progress and operational needs
- Ensure pharmacy services comply with all applicable state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Active Indiana Pharmacist license (must be verified)
- Immunization license required
- Completed resume along with a skills checklist and references
- Experience using Liberty RX software preferred
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not mandatory
