Staff Pharmacist - Oakland, California

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist in a busy hospital environment located in the San Francisco area. This contract role offers a hands-on experience ideal for new graduates looking to establish their career in pharmacy within a well-respected healthcare setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoon hours

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Provide consultation and collaborate effectively with physicians and nursing staff
• Utilize electronic systems including EPIC and Pyxis to manage patient information and medication dispensing
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid California pharmacist license required
• New graduates are encouraged to apply and will be supported in gaining practical experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations preferred
