Soliant is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist to join a pharmacy team in Kansas for a 13-week travel assignment starting soon. This is a great opportunity for someone with recent or current acute care experience looking to work at a 300+ bed hospital.
The pharmacist will provide comprehensive pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital setting, working closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
Schedule: Variable days/afternoons, including rotating weekends.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide standard inpatient pharmacy services in a hospital setting
-Review, verify, and check medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety
-Perform final medication verification and ensure medications are prepared and dispensed appropriately
-Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in their daily responsibilities
-Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy
-Monitor medication therapy and assist with appropriate drug selection and dosing
-Answer medication-related questions and provide clinical support to the healthcare team
-Follow hospital policies, pharmacy procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
-Assist with other general inpatient pharmacy duties as needed
Requirements
-BS in Pharmacy or PharmD
-Active/clear Kansas (KS) Pharmacist License must be in hand at the time of submission
-2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
-BLS certification required
-ACLS certification required
