Staff Pharmacist - Osyka, Mississippi

This opportunity is for a dedicated pharmacist to provide essential medication management within a behavioral health and psychiatric hospital setting. The role involves working independently as the sole pharmacist, ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication dispensing, and supporting patient care within a specialized environment.

Location: Osyka, MS
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (No weekends)
Duration: Contract through June 13th
System: medDispense and Azalea Health (EHR)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough checking and verification of medication orders and dispenses to ensure patient safety
• Conduct pharmaceutical controls and maintain accurate records
• Work autonomously as the solo pharmacist with backup from pharmacy technicians
• Support the behavioral health/psychiatric care team with medication-related needs

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active licensure as a Pharmacist with appropriate credentials to practice in Mississippi
• Experience in retail pharmacy is acceptable; hospital or behavioral health background is a plus but not required
• Ability to work independently and confidently manage pharmacy operations
• Familiarity or willingness to learn medDispense and Azalea Health systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
