Retail Staff Pharmacist | Owatonna, Minnesota

A specialty pharmacy in Waseca, MN, is seeking an experienced pharmacist for a contract position lasting 13+ weeks. This role involves providing comprehensive long-term care pharmacy services and supporting patient medication management in a dynamic retail environment.

Location:
Waseca, MN

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Some weekend shifts required
• 24 to 40 hours per week (hours can increase to full-time to accommodate staffing needs)

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Manage long-term care pharmacy duties, including medication therapy review and patient counseling
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to optimize medication use and patient outcomes
• Maintain proper documentation and adhere to pharmacy policies and procedures
• Ensure the safe storage and handling of all pharmaceutical products

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Minnesota (MN License required)
• Experience in retail pharmacy and long-term care pharmacy settings preferred
• PharmD degree or equivalent certification
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
