Staff Pharmacist - Owingsville, KY

A retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join their established team. This role is perfect for a licensed pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys delivering excellent patient care. The pharmacy processes approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly and operates with robust technician support.

Location:
Mount Sterling, Kentucky

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays per week)
• Saturday coverage 1 to 2 times per month, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness
• Provide counseling and answer patient medication questions
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and coordinate with technician support
• Utilize PioneerRx system for managing prescriptions
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Support daily operations within a busy retail pharmacy setting
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and pharmacy team
• Assist with Saturday shifts as scheduled

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy software preferred
• Ability to manage workload efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
