Staff Pharmacist in Oxnard, CA

An opportunity is available for two Staff Pharmacists to support inpatient pharmacy services at a prominent medical center in Ventura County. This contract role offers an immediate start and is expected to last approximately 3 to 6 months with potential for temp-to-hire consideration.

Location: Ventura County, CA

Schedule:

• Full-time hours
• Primarily four 10-hour shifts per week
• Some variable shifts including swing shifts, weekends, and occasional holidays

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to inpatient units
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Manage medication inventory and ensure compliance with protocols
• Monitor drug therapies and offer clinical consultation as necessary

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist license
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records preferred, however, training will be provided if needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays as required
