A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 250-bed hospital in Palo Cedro, CA. This position offers flexible scheduling options, including either four 10-hour shifts per week or a rotating schedule of seven days on followed by seven days off, with day or afternoon shifts available. The role may transition from temporary to permanent, depending on both the candidate and facility needs.

Key responsibilities include order verification, supervisory duties over pharmacy technicians, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to ensure optimal patient care. The pharmacist will also be involved in pharmacokinetic monitoring and utilizing hospital IT systems such as Cerner and Omnicell to streamline pharmacy operations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California pharmacist license
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell pharmacy systems
• Strong communication and clinical consultation skills
• Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential
• Completion of PGY1 residency is highly desirable, but not mandatory
