Staff Pharmacist - Paris, Kentucky

A busy retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky seeks a full-time Staff Pharmacist to contribute to an efficient, patient-focused team. This role offers a dynamic work environment with solid technician support and the opportunity to impact community health through exceptional pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
• Provide patient counseling and respond to medication-related inquiries
• Oversee pharmacy workflow alongside technician support
• Utilize PioneerRx software for prescription processing and management
• Ensure compliance with Kentucky state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Maintain smooth daily operations in a high-volume setting averaging 3,000 prescriptions weekly
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and team members
• Participate in scheduled Saturday shifts, typically 1-2 times per month

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy system ideal
• Strong ability to manage a fast-paced, high volume workflow
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and collaboratively
• Availability for weekday shifts Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and limited Saturday coverage from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays per week)
• Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (1-2 times monthly)
