Staff Pharmacist | Peosta, Iowa

This opportunity is for a full-time Staff Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services across multiple retail locations in Iowa. The position requires a professional who can manage the safe and efficient dispensing of medications, ensure excellent patient counseling, and maintain accurate inventory records. Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately under the supervision of the pharmacy manager
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence to prescribed regimens
• Address patient inquiries and resolve concerns in line with company policies
• Manage stock levels and maintain controlled substance records and inventories
• Clarify and resolve issues related to third-party insurance coverage

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Pharmacist license in Iowa
• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
• Proven ability to work effectively in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Strong communication skills for patient interactions and teamwork

Schedule:

• First shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday half-day shifts
• Hours range between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Additional Details:

• This is a contract position starting July 13 with a duration of approximately 3 months
• The pharmacist will float between multiple sites: Dubuque (busiest, 2800-3000 prescriptions/week), Preston, Bellevue, Independence, and Monticello
• Familiarity with Mckesson Enterprise software is required
