Staff Pharmacist | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

A healthcare facility in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis from May 4th through August 1st. This daytime role consists of five 8-hour shifts per week and offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Review medication orders, ensuring appropriate drug choice, dose, frequency, and route of administration
• Assess patient allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and lab data for clinical appropriateness before dispensing medications
• Manage inventory control to maintain adequate medication supplies
• Provide drug information support to healthcare team members
• Supervise pharmacy students and technicians in medication preparation, ensuring accuracy and safety
• Collaborate with the healthcare team on continuum of care planning and discharge education

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a pharmacy college accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education required; PharmD preferred
• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 1 year hospital practice experience or completion of Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
