Pharmacist- Inpatient Hospital

A leading hospital facility is seeking a Hospital Staff Pharmacist for a full-time contract assignment in Philadelphia area. This is a day-shift opportunity supporting an inpatient pharmacy team, reviewing medication orders and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care. Candidates with hospital experience and an active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify all medication orders for accuracy, dosing, frequency, and route of administration
• Evaluate patient allergies, past medical history, lab results, and potential drug interactions
• Dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
• Provide drug information and clinical support to physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and students to ensure accurate medication preparation
• Maintain medication inventory and support inventory control processes
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support discharge planning and continuity of care
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and pharmacy regulations

Work Hours

• Shift: 5x8-hour Day Shifts
• Schedule Duration: May 4, 2026 – August 1, 2026
• Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week

Experience

• At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting considered

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
