Mail Order Staff Pharmacist | Phoenix, Arizona

A fast-paced mail order pharmacy in Scottsdale is seeking a checking/verifying pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role requires a dedicated professional who can maintain accuracy and efficiency while supporting pharmacy operations in a busy environment.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Commute vetting is important)

Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible shifts available between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM and/or 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Possible Saturday coverage

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate checking and verifying of prescriptions, completing 60-80 checks per hour
• Accurately count, dispense, and label medications in compliance with Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure a safe, clean work environment by following all policies and procedures
• Maintain strong communication with team members and pharmacy leadership

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist license in Arizona is required
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
• Proven accuracy, adaptability, and strong attention to detail in a high-volume setting
• Dependable, punctual, and accountable work ethic
• Excellent multitasking, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities
• Positive, interactive communication style paired with strong verbal and written skills
• Self-directed yet cooperative when working in a team environment
