Seeking two experienced Staff Pharmacists to support inpatient hospital operations in a dynamic clinical setting. This contract opportunity, located in Pickerington, OH, involves coverage at a 222-bed facility with a daily average census of 120 patients. Pharmacists will play a key role in ensuring safe and effective medication management within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify inpatient medication orders with accuracy and clinical judgment
  • Provide oversight and verification for sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding processes
  • Actively participate in emergency codes and provide pharmacist expertise
  • Support nursing and provider staff through consultative medication management and patient education
  • Dispense medications and monitor pharmacotherapy including antibiotic and renal dosing adjustments
  • Manage time effectively to prioritize critical tasks and maintain workflow efficiency

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Ohio Pharmacist License
  • Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience, including familiarity with Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) verification
  • Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacotherapy and compounding standards
  • Ability to manage antibiotic and renal dosing protocols
  • Experience with hospital order entry systems preferred; Cerner (EHR) experience is a plus (training available)
  • Comfortable working with Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets (ADC)

Schedule and Coverage:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Coverage includes every 6th weekend rotation
  • Assignment dates from 05/26/2026 through 08/14/2026

Supporting Pharmacy Technicians will assist with medication preparation, delivery, and overall pharmacy operations.
