A retail pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a part-time Staff Pharmacist to support their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate medication dispensing and providing excellent patient care during peak activity periods.

Position Details:

• Role: Staff Pharmacist (Part-time)
• Setting: Retail Pharmacy
• Hours: 20-24 hours per week, including vacation coverage
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm or 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
• Pharmacy Closed: Saturdays and Sundays
• Peak Hours: 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
• Prescription Volume: Approximately 300 prescriptions per day
• Technology: Pioneer Rx pharmacy system

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients on proper usage
• Manage high-volume prescription processing with attention to detail
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify and resolve medication-related issues
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations
• Provide vacation coverage as required

Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist licensure with retail pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with Pioneer Rx is highly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently during scheduled shifts
