Staff Pharmacist in Pittsburgh, PA

A retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to join their team on a part-time basis in Pittsburgh, PA. This role offers the opportunity to work 20-24 hours per week with additional coverage for vacation periods. The ideal candidate will have retail pharmacy experience and familiarity with the Pioneer Rx system.

Schedule/Hours:

• Part-time, 20-24 hours weekly
• Vacation coverage as needed
• Pharmacy hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Shifts available: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Peak hours typically between 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and dispense approximately 300 prescriptions per day
• Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with staff to maintain smooth daily pharmacy operations
• Utilize the Pioneer Rx system for prescription processing and inventory management

Qualifications:

• Previous retail pharmacy experience required
• Proficient with Pioneer Rx pharmacy management system preferred
• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently during assigned shifts
