Pharmacist in Pittsburgh, PA

A retail pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a part-time staff pharmacist to support their team. This role offers 20-24 hours per week with vacation coverage responsibilities, providing a balance of workload and flexibility within a retail setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
• Shifts available: 9am to 3pm or 11am to 6pm
• Peak hours: 9am to 11am and 4pm to 6pm
• Closed on weekends

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions and provide excellent patient counseling
• Manage a daily volume of approximately 300 prescriptions
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient operations
• Use Pioneer Rx system for prescription processing and documentation

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Experience in a retail pharmacy setting
• Familiarity with Pioneer Rx system is highly preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently during busy periods
