Inpatient Staff Pharmacist - Pompano Beach, Florida

A healthcare facility located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale is seeking two inpatient pharmacists to support their pediatric services. This contract opportunity requires a commitment of approximately 13 weeks starting mid-November, offering the chance to utilize specialized skills in a dynamic hospital environment.

Location: Pompano Beach, FL
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting 11/16
Shifts Available:

• Afternoon Shift: 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, rotating weekends (five 8-hour shifts per week)
• Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:15 AM, rotating weekends (five 8-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties focused on pediatric medication dosing, ensuring accuracy and safety
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system effectively for medication management and documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and nursing staff to optimize patient care plans

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and active Florida pharmacy license in good standing is required
• Prior experience in pediatric inpatient pharmacy, NICU experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated competency in dosing pediatrics is essential and should be clearly reflected in the resume
• Strong communication and teamwork skills within a hospital setting
