Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Pompano Beach, Florida

A per diem opportunity is available for an experienced Staff Pharmacist to provide essential coverage in a retail pharmacy setting specializing in HIV/AIDS medication dispensing. This role requires a compassionate and respectful approach to the sensitive needs of the patient population, fostering trust and delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Location:

• Plantation, FL (Fort Lauderdale area)
• Additional per diem opportunities available at another pharmacy within the same region

Schedule:

• Thursday, 7/30, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Regular operation hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (No weekend shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense specialty HIV/AIDS medications while maintaining patient confidentiality and respect
• Provide empathetic counseling and support tailored to the unique needs of the HIV/AIDS patient community
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by proactively managing workflow and assisting team members as needed
• Maintain punctuality and reliability in all assigned shifts
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy management software efficiently

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of retail or specialty experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing
• Proven sensitivity and respect toward the HIV/AIDS patient population
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive and positive mindset in daily operations
• Tech-savvy with experience using QS1 or similar pharmacy software
