Per Diem Pharmacist - Portland, ME

Join an ambulatory infusion therapy clinic in Portland, ME, specializing in IV and infusion services for patients with acute and chronic medical needs. This per diem opportunity is ideal for a skilled Staff Pharmacist with infusion therapy experience, looking to provide clinical pharmacy support on a recurring basis.

Location:

• Portland, ME

Schedule / Hours:

• Approximately 2 days per month with flexible scheduling
• Additional ongoing PRN coverage as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
• Perform sterile compounding per USP 797 standards and support cleanroom operations
• Ensure the safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies
• Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records compliant with federal and state regulations
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide coverage for other pharmacists as needed

Qualifications:

• Active Maine Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum of 1+ year pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding is required
• Strong knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards
• Excellent communication, multitasking, time management, and critical-thinking abilities
