An opportunity is available for a knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to support retail pharmacy operations in a dynamic environment focusing on both retail dispensing and non-sterile compounding. This role involves critical review and verification of prescriptions, especially within a retail and compounding setting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards.

Location: Pounding Mill, VA
Schedule: Fridays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Per Diem)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough retail prescription checks with attention to detail and accuracy
• Verify non-sterile compounded prescriptions, applying mathematical skills to ensure correct formulation
• Utilize Pioneer RX for order entry and processing
• Minimize counseling to maintain efficient workflow while prioritizing patient safety
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and company protocols

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Virginia
• Proven experience working in retail pharmacy settings
• Familiarity with non-sterile compounding techniques is highly valued
• Comfortable working independently during assigned shifts
