A Per Diem Staff Pharmacist position is available to work Fridays from 9am to 5pm in a retail and compounding environment. This role focuses primarily on retail order verification with some involvement in non-sterile compounding review, requiring strong attention to detail and comfort performing mathematical calculations on formulas. The position uses Pioneer RX for order entry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify retail prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Review non-sterile compounded preparations to ensure formula accuracy
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to support daily operations
- Provide limited patient counseling as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia pharmacy license
- Experience working in retail pharmacy settings
- Familiarity with non-sterile compounding preferred
- Proficient using Pioneer RX or similar pharmacy order entry systems
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for formula verification
Schedule:
- Fridays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
