Per Diem Retail Immunizing Staff Pharmacist | Queen Creek, Arizona

Play a key role in supporting a team of 2-3 staff pharmacists providing per diem coverage across several retail pharmacy locations in the Queen Creek, AZ area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced pharmacists seeking flexible, part-time hours (2-4 days per week) to assist with coverage for call-outs, vacations, and volume spikes in a well-supported retail pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional pharmacy services including dispensing prescriptions, patient counseling, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Administer immunizations, leveraging your immunization privileges
• Participate in a comprehensive training program, including an initial 8-hour shift devoted to orientation and additional training as necessary
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacy-only sites to maintain efficient workflow and safety
• Utilize the QS1 pharmacy system for all dispensing and recordkeeping tasks

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in Arizona with no restrictions
• Minimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Immunization privileges and current BLS certification required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on per diem basis
• Comfortable adapting to variable work hours and locations within commuting distance of Phoenix

Pharmacy Operations & Schedule:

• Operating Monday through Saturday, typically 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM; some locations close at 8:00 PM
• Shifts are assigned based on coverage needs, hours are not guaranteed but flexibility to cover 2-4 days weekly is ideal
• Average prescription volume ranges from 100 to 125 daily
