Shift: 2nd Shift (1:00 PM – 9:30 PM), rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and detect any over-usage patterns.
- Ensure medications supplied comply with applicable laws and are appropriate for patients.
- Maintain confidential patient records and manage pharmacy files with precision.
- Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer medication-related questions.
- Provide consultations on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, including dosage, storage, and drug interactions.
- Deliver additional patient services such as smoking cessation programs, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions according to standards.
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain pharmaceutical inventory and medical supplies.
- Identify and communicate drug-related problems with healthcare providers.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, and pharmacy interns to optimize patient care.
Qualifications:
- Active Wisconsin pharmacist license (in-hand) required.
- Retail pharmacists welcome; training available for motivated candidates.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.
