Staff Pharmacist | Raeford, North Carolina

A regional medical center with 300 beds in North Carolina is seeking an experienced night shift pharmacist to oversee inpatient pharmacy operations. This role is situated in Lumberton, roughly two hours east of Charlotte and conveniently located between Charlotte and Wilmington near Fayetteville.

This opportunity is on a contract basis starting immediately, with a 13-week initial assignment. There is potential for extension and conversion to a permanent role.

Schedule & Hours:

• Night shift, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Work 7 consecutive days followed by 7 days off (Thursday through Wednesday cycle)

Key Responsibilities:

• Order verification to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing
• Supervision of pharmacy technicians during the night shift
• Consulting and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapy
• Utilizing pharmacokinetics knowledge for patient care decisions
• Operating pharmacy IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis effectively

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina pharmacist license required
• Solid experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy practice
• Ability to function independently as the sole pharmacist on shift
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
