Staff Pharmacist - Rapid City, South Dakota

An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced Retail Pharmacist to join a grocery store-based pharmacy in South Dakota on a 13+ week contract assignment. This role offers up to 40 hours per week within a well-established retail setting, ideal for pharmacists seeking to apply their expertise in a dynamic, patient-focused environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Up to 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescriptions ensuring patient safety
• Review and supervise the work performed by pharmacy technicians
• Provide clear, compassionate patient counseling on medication use
• Manage pharmacy and patient phone inquiries efficiently
• Assist in the daily operations of the retail pharmacy
• Support the Pharmacist-in-Charge with additional duties as required

Qualifications:

• Active South Dakota Pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a retail pharmacy environment
• Strong communication skills with a patient-centered approach
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the pharmacy team
