Staff Pharmacist | Reading, Pennsylvania

This position offers a rewarding opportunity to serve as a Staff Pharmacist within a retail pharmacy setting. The role is a direct hire with a variable schedule covering day and afternoon shifts, totaling 69 bi-weekly hours. The start date is ASAP.

Responsibilities include maintaining effective collaboration with the store operations team, driving associate engagement, and communicating department and company strategies clearly to pharmacy staff. You will ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions by completing Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in compliance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Management duties involve building a profitable department, increasing prescription growth through clinical programs like immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and working closely with pharmacy leadership to control inventory and track sales. You will be responsible for aligning performance objectives to key measurable metrics for pharmacy effectiveness and efficiency.

Additional duties include providing excellent customer service through healthcare counseling, supervising pharmacy associates, conducting training, coaching, and discipline, maintaining departmental security, resolving customer issues, liaising with physicians, and keeping the pharmacy clean and organized. Prioritizing daily tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls is essential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
