Staff Pharmacist - Local Contract Retail Texas

Soliant has an opening for a Staff Pharmacist for a 6-month contract assignment at a high-volume pharmacy located near Abilene, Texas. This is a great opportunity for an experienced retail pharmacist already in the West Texas area, seeking a solid contract with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and only occasional Saturdays. With a tenured team of two pharmacists and ten technicians already in place, you will be walking into a well-supported environment where you can hit the ground running from day one. Employment Type: Local Contract

Assignment Length: 6 months

Work Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM rotating schedule | Saturday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM every 3rd to 4th Saturday | 40 hours per week

Industry: Healthcare / Retail Pharmacy

Responsibilities

-Verify and dispense medications accurately and efficiently at a high volume of approximately 1,400 prescriptions per day

-Perform clinical review of medication orders to ensure patient safety and compliance

-Administer immunizations and maintain immunization records

-Counsel patients on medications, dosages, side effects, and drug interactions

-Utilize Willow pharmacy system for prescription processing and clinical documentation

-Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and team members to maintain smooth daily operations

Experience:

-Minimum 2 years of recent retail pharmacy experience required

-High volume pharmacy experience strongly preferred

-Immunization administration experience required

Skills:

-Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

-Comfortable managing high prescription volumes with accuracy and efficiency

-Effective patient communicator and counselor

-Team-oriented and able to collaborate with a larger pharmacy staff

Qualifications

-Active and clear Texas Pharmacist License required

-Immunization certification required

-Proficiency in Willow pharmacy system preferred

Education

-Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
