Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist - Austin, TX

A retail pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide essential medication dispensing and patient care services on a per diem basis. This role offers flexible scheduling with immediate openings for shifts from Wednesday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at a location in Austin, TX. The position supports the use of Pioneer Rx software and benefits from full technician support to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapy
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and inventory control
• Utilize Pioneer Rx software proficiently for prescription processing and documentation
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide leadership and support to pharmacy technicians during shifts

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Pharmacist license
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings preferred
• Proficiency with pharmacy management software, especially Pioneer Rx, is a strong plus
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
