Per Diem Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Burlington, North Carolina

An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced Infusion Pharmacist to support a dynamic pharmacy operation in Greensboro, NC. This contract role offers the potential for long-term placement or permanent hire. Candidates with a solid background in home infusion, sterile compounding, and a commitment to patient-centered care are highly sought after.

Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying medication orders for infusion therapies, overseeing sterile compounded medication preparation and dispensing, ensuring strict compliance with USP <797> and <800> standards, and providing clinical support along with drug information to both staff and patients. The pharmacist will collaborate closely with the pharmacy team to maintain workflow efficiency and uphold patient safety, while ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

The schedule is flexible with a few days each week, with additional dates to be confirmed.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Active North Carolina Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent experience in infusion or home infusion pharmacy practice
• Strong expertise in sterile compounding techniques
• In-depth knowledge of USP <797> and <800> guidelines
• Ability to work independently and quickly adapt to changing demands

Candidates with a Retail Pharmacy background will also be considered for contract assignments while the infusion pharmacist search is underway.
