Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Burnsville, Minnesota

A retail pharmacy position is available with a well-established regional grocery store in Minnesota, offering a contract to hire opportunity with the goal of permanent placement. The role focuses on delivering excellent pharmaceutical care in a busy retail environment supported by skilled staff and modern technology.

Schedule and Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• 40 hours per week with some flexibility for relief coverage
• Monday is the busiest day, requiring comfort with higher script volume

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage prescription processing and patient counseling in a retail setting
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and utilize a newly installed robotic dispensing system to enhance workflow
• Use the EnterpriseRx order entry system efficiently to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support patient health through effective communication and medication education in a high-volume pharmacy averaging approximately 600 prescriptions weekly

Qualifications:

• Experience in retail pharmacy practice is required
• Familiarity with EnterpriseRx is preferred; willingness and ability to learn rapidly is essential
• Minnesota Pharmacist License is required or candidate must be willing to obtain licensure
• Strong communication and counseling skills with patients
• Dependable and consistent work ethic, with openness to ongoing or permanent placement
