This per diem position offers an opportunity to provide critical pharmacy coverage in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) pharmacy operating a 340B program. Timely and reliable coverage is essential to avoid pharmacy closure during scheduled shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing retail pharmacy operations efficiently and accurately
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure exceptional workflow and compliance
- Dispensing medications and counseling patients on prescription and over-the-counter treatments in accordance with state regulations
- Utilizing Rx30 software for pharmacy management; training available for candidates with prior software experience
- Maintaining compliance with FQHC and 340B program standards
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and valid New York State pharmacist license in good standing
- Experience managing opening and closing procedures in a retail pharmacy setting
- Proven leadership skills with supervision of pharmacy technicians preferred
- Familiarity with 340B pharmacy operations is a plus
- Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced, high-demand environments
Location: Canandaigua, NY (with lodging and meal allowances available for travelers living more than 75 miles away)
Schedule:
- Thurs 4/2, 1 PM – 7 PM
- Sat 4/4, 9 AM – 3 PM
- Tues 4/7, 8 AM – 7 PM
- Weds 4/8, 8 AM – 7 PM
- Sat 4/11, 9 AM – 3 PM
