Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Carthage, Illinois

Provide comprehensive pharmacy services as a Staff Pharmacist in a retail setting supporting a managed FQHC/340B pharmacy. This per diem opportunity requires coverage for a full workweek with established pharmacy technician assistance, ensuring smooth daily operations and quality patient care.

Location:

• Keokuk, IA (located near the IL state line along the river in the southeastern corner of Iowa)

Schedule:

• Monday, 6/22 through Friday, 6/29
• 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a one-hour lunch break

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily pharmacy operations including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to optimize workflow
• Provide medication dispensing and counseling consistent with retail and community pharmacy standards
• Utilize the Datascan by WinPharm system for prescription processing and record keeping
• Support 340B program requirements; prior experience is preferred but not mandatory

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in Iowa
• Experience working in retail or community pharmacy settings
• Skilled in supervising pharmacy technicians
• Knowledge of 340B pharmacy programs is highly preferred
• Ability to work independently and efficiently within established protocols
