This full-time opportunity offers a dynamic pharmacy role balancing retail and inpatient responsibilities in close-proximity locations within Harbor Beach, MI. The position involves working four days a week from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, including one weekday off and rotating weekends, providing a structured yet varied schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and standards in both retail and inpatient settings.
  • Review medication orders for accuracy, potential allergies, and drug interactions.
  • Prepare intravenous medications following standard admixture protocols.
  • Provide clear information and answer questions from healthcare staff and patients.
  • Maintain cooperative teamwork while also functioning independently as needed.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality regarding patient and organizational information.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of Michigan.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred or a strong willingness to acquire hospital pharmacy skills.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software; familiarity with Pioneer RX (retail) and CPSI (hospital) systems helpful, with a transition to EPIC scheduled.
  • Ability to manage a pharmacy workflow that includes approximately 250 prescriptions daily, servicing local foster care homes and long-term care facilities.
