Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Chandler, AZ

Experienced retail pharmacists are needed to join a per diem team supporting multiple locations in the greater Phoenix area. This opportunity offers flexible shifts primarily Monday through Saturday with pharmacy hours typically from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and occasional extended hours until 8 p.m. The client manages 38 food and pharmacy stores requiring skilled pharmacy professionals ready to cover vacations, call-outs, and volume surges during busy seasons like graduation, summer vacations, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a retail food and pharmacy setting
• Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently, handling an average volume of 100-125 prescriptions per day
• Engage in training sessions to prepare for operations, especially in pharmacist-only locations
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other staff to deliver quality customer care
• Maintain immunization privileges and adhere to patient safety guidelines

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience required; 5+ years preferred to qualify for the higher pay rate
• Must hold immunization privileges and BLS certification
• Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy system preferred to reduce training time
• Ability to work part-time, ideally 2-4 days per week with flexible availability
• Willingness to undergo required training to support all pharmacy locations, including pharmacist-only sites

Schedule:

• Pharmacy hours: Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. (some stores until 8 p.m.)
• Flexible per diem shifts based on need, no guaranteed hours
