Join a dynamic healthcare environment as a Staff Pharmacist providing essential pharmaceutical care within a hospital setting. This contract opportunity, starting June 1st, offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with coverage required every sixth weekend (subsequent days off during the week). The role is based in a reputable medical center and requires a valid Ohio Pharmacy License alongside hospital pharmacy experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately review, interpret, process, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
  • Monitor and manage patient medication therapy for safety, appropriateness, and effectiveness.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with pharmacy policies, quality programs, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate drug information clearly to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Support medical emergencies by participating in drug therapy management and maintaining adequate medication supplies.
  • Coordinate daily pharmacy technician activities to meet patient and organizational needs.
  • Uphold the facility’s values including empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills fostering collaboration and patient-centered care.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to exert medium physical effort, including lifting up to 20-50 pounds occasionally.
