Urgent openings for per diem staff pharmacists to support multiple retail pharmacy locations across Northern California. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible, part-time work with the ability to pick up additional shifts as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional pharmacy services including prescription verification, patient counseling, and medication management.
  • Open and close the pharmacy following established protocols.
  • Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Utilize McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software for prescription processing and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and medication safety.
  • Travel as needed within the designated service areas for shift coverage.

Locations with immediate need:

  • Citrus Heights and Sacramento area (3-4 Pharmacists)
  • Bay Area/North Bay (2 Pharmacists)
  • Northern California (Redding, Chico) (2 Pharmacists)

Qualifications:

  • Active pharmacist license, in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacy operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage pharmacy technicians.
  • Comfortable commuting and flexible to cover shifts across multiple locations.

Per diem schedule offers an average of 1-2 shifts per week, with opportunities to increase as business demands rise. Mileage reimbursement provided for travel exceeding 30 miles one way.
