Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Cleveland, Ohio

A retail pharmacy technician role is available in Cleveland, OH, for a contract to hire opportunity with a reputable specialty retail pharmacy chain. This position focuses on serving complex patients who typically manage 8-15 medications daily, requiring strong communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in dispensing medications accurately in a fast-paced retail specialty environment.
• Support patients with complex medication regimens, providing education and compassionate care.
• Use pharmacy software, particularly Rx30, to manage prescriptions and patient information.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide exceptional customer service to a diverse patient population, including Medicare/Medicaid recipients and low-income individuals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Proven retail or specialty pharmacy technician experience, ideally involving patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, multiple sclerosis (MS), or rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
• Familiarity with Rx30 pharmacy software is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively with patients who may have low literacy levels.
• Licensed pharmacy technician in Ohio (OH license required).
• PTCB certification is highly preferred but not mandatory.

Location: Cleveland, OH

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
