Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Clint, Texas

A retail pharmacy opportunity is available in Clint, TX, seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist for a contract role. This position requires a dedicated professional to provide medication management and patient care within a community grocery store pharmacy environment, ensuring compliance with protocols and supervision of pharmacy staff. The role offers a structured schedule with occasional weekend coverage at a secondary location.

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Closed weekends and six major holidays at the primary location
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required at a secondary retail location

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active New Mexico Pharmacist License in good standing or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Disclosure and verification of all active and inactive licenses
• Minimum of one year’s experience as a registered pharmacist preferred
• APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days
• Availability to cover shifts at the secondary location, including occasional weekends, is essential

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare, review, and dispense medication orders
• Maintain precise patient medication profiles
• Supervise and direct pharmacy technicians, verifying daily activities
• Participate in medical emergency responses
• Conduct medication storage inspections and remove outdated medications
• Orient and train new team members as needed

Ideal candidates are experienced retail pharmacists comfortable in fast-paced community settings, with strong patient counseling skills and leadership abilities. Flexibility across multiple locations and readiness to manage occasional weekend shifts is critical. Licensure in New Mexico or readiness to obtain it promptly is required, along with immunization certification.
