Retail Staff Pharmacist - Columbus, OH

A retail pharmacy opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support daily operations in a busy environment averaging 200-300 inbound prescriptions per day. This role offers a 13-week temp-to-hire assignment with the potential for direct hire, providing a pathway to long-term employment.

Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Environment: Retail pharmacy with a team of 5 technicians and 2 pharmacists

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting
• Verify prescriptions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Counsel patients on proper medication usage and possible side effects
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care
• Utilize Prime RX system for order entry and record keeping

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous retail pharmacy experience required
• Familiarity with Prime RX software is a strong advantage
• Valid Ohio pharmacy technician license necessary
• Proven ability to manage workflows in a high-volume prescription environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
