Retail Staff Pharmacist in Columbus, OH

This opportunity is for an experienced pharmacist to take a pivotal role in a busy retail pharmacy setting. Ideal candidates will bring a strong background in retail pharmacy operations and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment handling a significant volume of prescriptions daily.

Location:

• Columbus, OH

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week contract with the potential for permanent placement

Role Responsibilities:

• Oversee prescription processing in a retail pharmacy handling approximately 200-300 inbound scripts daily
• Collaborate effectively with a team of five pharmacy technicians and one other pharmacist
• Manage order entry using Prime RX, ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmacy protocols
• Provide exceptional patient care and counseling, ensuring customers receive proper medication guidance
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license with retail pharmacy experience required
• Prior experience with Prime RX software is a strong advantage
• Must hold a valid Ohio pharmacy technician license
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
