Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Cooperstown, New York

A full-time Staff Pharmacist role is available at an outpatient retail pharmacy located in Cooperstown, New York, with occasional coverage required at nearby Oneonta and Delhi locations. This contract position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

This high-volume pharmacy fills approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly and operates with two pharmacists daily. The role does not involve sterile compounding or chemotherapy preparation. Services include a Meds to Beds program supporting hospital patients and immunization administration, utilizing the PioneerRx Pharmacy Management System and EPIC EMR for patient demographics and insurance information. Delivering excellent customer service is a fundamental priority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications in a high-volume outpatient retail setting
• Participate in the Meds to Beds program to enhance patient care transitions
• Administer immunizations as part of professional duties
• Provide exceptional customer service focused on patient satisfaction
• Assist with occasional coverage at Oneonta and Delhi locations as needed

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Retail or outpatient pharmacy experience required; high-volume dispensing preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx and EPIC systems preferred
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain

• Flexibility to provide coverage at additional locations when required
