Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Cottonwood, CA

An urgent opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists ready to join a dynamic per diem team. This role focuses on providing essential pharmacy services in a retail setting, with coverage needed across multiple locations in Northern California including Cottonwood, Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, and other Northern CA communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional pharmacy services including prescription dispensing and patient counseling.
• Assist with opening and closing pharmacy operations.
• Collaborate with and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow.
• Utilize McKesson's Enterprise (ERx) software to manage prescriptions and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards of practice.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• At least 1 year experience in retail pharmacy required.
• Demonstrated ability to open and close pharmacies and oversee technician activities.
• Proficient with pharmacy software, preferably McKesson ERx.
• Flexible availability and willingness to commute within and around the specified regions.
• Ideal candidates are currently part-time and seeking additional shift opportunities.

Location:

• Primarily based in Cottonwood, CA, with per diem coverage requests averaging 1-2 shifts weekly across Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, Northern California (Redding, Chico), and surrounding areas.

Additional Information:

• Mileage reimbursement available for travel beyond 30 miles one way.
