Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Dansville, NY

A per diem opportunity is available for an experienced staff pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy coverage in a retail healthcare setting. This role supports a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) pharmacy, operating a 340B program, where maintaining uninterrupted service is critical to the community.

Location:

• Dansville, NY (approximately 50 miles south of Rochester and 80 miles southeast of Buffalo)

Schedule (Per Diem Coverage Dates):

• Thursday, 4/2: 1 PM – 7 PM
• Saturday, 4/4: 9 AM – 3 PM
• Tuesday, 4/7: 8 AM – 7 PM
• Wednesday, 4/8: 8 AM – 7 PM
• Saturday, 4/11: 9 AM – 3 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and close the retail pharmacy efficiently
• Oversee and supervise pharmacy technicians and daily pharmacy operations
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines including 340B program policies
• Utilize Rx30 pharmacy software (training provided for those with experience)
• Deliver exceptional patient care and medication management within the FQHC framework

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State pharmacist license in good standing
• Demonstrated experience managing a retail pharmacy, including opening and closing procedures
• Proven ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively
• Familiarity or willingness to learn the Rx30 pharmacy system
• Commitment to providing quality pharmaceutical care in a community-focused setting
