A per diem Staff Pharmacist opportunity is available to provide comprehensive pharmacy services at a managed facility located in the southeastern corner of Iowa, near the Illinois state line. This role offers an excellent chance to contribute to a community-focused, 340B-supported pharmacy supporting Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC).

Location:
Donnellson, IA (covering Keokuk, IA facility)

Schedule:

  • Monday, 6/22 through Friday, 6/29
  • 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (includes 1-hour lunch)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality retail pharmacy services in a community pharmacy setting
  • Open and close the pharmacy facility following all applicable protocols
  • Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
  • Utilize the Datascan system by WinPharm for daily pharmacy functions
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, including FQHC/340B program requirements
  • Provide exceptional patient care with attention to accuracy and detail

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Iowa pharmacist license with no restrictions
  • Experience in retail/community pharmacy settings, including supervisory duties and opening/closing procedures
  • Prior exposure to 340B pharmacy programs strongly preferred but not mandatory
  • Comfortable working with a strong pharmacy technician team
  • Reliable and timely professional commitment for the week of coverage
